7.6 My Alerts
This option enables you to follow your favourite topics on the
forum
You can enter several keywords.
Here is an example to get a better understanding of this feature.
Let’s imagine that you are browsing a computing forum. You would like to
receive regular updates about everything concerning Nvidia. All you have
to do is to enter the keyword "Nvidia" and validate this choice.
In this way, if a forum member creates a new topic titled «
Looking for Nvidia drivers », you will be automatically alerted either by email or by PM
of this new topic
Now let’s go further. Imagine that you start to receive way too
many alerts and you’d rather be notified only about topics dealing with
graphic card. Simply change your keyword to “Nvidia graphic card” and
validate this choice.
Now you will not be alerted about topics like « Looking for Nvidia
drivers ». You will, however, receive a notification for a topic like
“Looking for drivers for Nvidia graphic card”.
