10.6 The Tags
You can add rich text formatting to your messages like bold text,
colours or images, as shown here but even more…
In order to do that, simply write down the tags when composing a
message (they will not appear once the message is posted)
Here is a brief summary of all the tags that we already mentioned
and some that we now introduce.
10.6.1 [b] or [g]
If you type: [b]your text [/b], your text will appear in
bold in your message
10.6.2 [i]
If you type: [i] your text [/i], your text will appear in italic
in your message
10.6.3 [u] or [s]
If you type: [u] your text [/u], your text will be underlined in
your message.
10.6.4 [#hexadécimal_code]
If you type : [#AABBCC] your text [/#AABBCC], your text will use
the colour defined by "AABBCC" in your message.
You can replace "AABBCC" with any hexadecimal
combination..
Examples: FF0000 ( red), 00FF00 ( green), 0000FF ( blue),
...
10.6.5 [url]
If you type [url]an_internet_address[/url], a link will be
created.
You can also type [url=http:// an_internet_address]Name of the
Website[/url]. Only Name of the Website will appear in the message
with a link associated with it.
Example : [url=http://www.mydiscussions.net]Forum
MyDiscussions[/url] will create Forum MyDiscussions
10.6.6 [img]
If you type [img]an_image_hosted_on_the_internet[/img], it will
display the picture.
10.6.7 [quote]
If you type [quote] quoted message [/quote], it will
show:
10.6.8 [spoiler]
If you type [spoiler] hidden text [/spoiler], it will
show:
The text is now hidden. To unveil it, one has to click on the
frame.
10.6.9 [cpp] or [code]
You can type full C/C++ code samples. Simply write the code
within the tags [cpp] and [/cpp].
10.6.10 [fixed]
If you write a text within the tags [fixed] and [/fixed], the
size of the font will be fixed.
The letter “i” will have the same width as a “m” or a
“W”.
10.6.11 [email]
If you type [email]my_email@address.net[/email], it will display
the email address as a link.
10.6.12 [strike]
If you type [strike] text [/strike], the text will be
struck.
10.6.13 [*]
If you want to create lists, do not hesitate to use marks with
[*] By typing:
[*]choice number 1
[*]choice number 2
You will get:
10.6.14 [center]
If you place a text between the tags [center] and [/center] it
will be centered once your answer is posted.
Attention
This tag will only be active if the administrator has enabled
it in the administration control panel.
10.6.15 [size]
This tag enables you to modify the text body in your
message.
